1 – Digging Deep for the Royal Flying Doctor Service.

On the eve of the Diggers & Dealer Mining forum, Sunday 30th August 2021, our local resource sector turned out to hear Sam Walsh AO speak at our charity sundowner raising much needed funds for the Royal Flying Doctors Service in Kalgoorlie. Charity auctions, live music and helicopter rides helped us to provide unique opportunities to raise over $117,000 and highlighted the generosity of our resources industry, serving as a reminder of the importance of community support to help keep the Royal Flying Doctor in the air. At Topdrill, we’re passionate about our people and our region. Equally as important is our vision and drive to provide support in any way we can to the community that supports us. Our charity partnership with the Royal Flying Doctors is one way we honour that commitment. RFDS is our charity of choice, given the importance of the service to businesses and families they provide. The Flying Doctor serves as a lifeline for remote communities without access to the day-to-day health services we’re used to. Money raised from this event will go to help keep the RFDS flying and deliver vaccinations against COVID-19 to remote communities, including many in the Goldfields. At Topdrill, we’re proud to host a fundraiser for the RFDS for the second year in row, with last year raising $93,000 at the grand opening of our new state-of-the-art facility. Together we have raised over $200,000 for the RFDS, what an achievement. “It’s simply fantastic that the resource industry, our clients, and friends of Topdrill supported our call to raise vital funds for the RFDS, our charity partner, to support their COVID-19 remote vaccination program.” Tim Topham, Managing Director (Topdrill). We would like thank our community and all who attended for helping us raise such a substantial total for the Flying Doctor in WA. We’re honoured to be able to host this event and we’re already looking forward to next year’s event
